Page Hamilton Signature Distortion
Pro Tone Pedals and Page Hamilton of vanguard metal giants Helmet team up to bring you a modern distortion pedal that melds genres as fluently as its namesake.
Pro Tone Pedals is proud to announce the re-release of the Page Hamilton Signature Distortion.
To celebrate the re-release of the iconic magenta ESP Horizon, Pro Tone Pedals will release a magenta colored edition of Page’s signature distortion pedal- with a limited number of them being personally autographed by Page.
Page is most notably founder, guitarist and vocalist of the vanguard metal band Helmet. Additionally, Hamilton has done a stint with David Bowie, recorded with Linkin Park, Band of Susans, and avant-garde guitarist Caspar Brötzmann.
Page’s Master’s Degree in Jazz Guitar uniquely inspires everything he works on, including his celebrated efforts on major motion picture scores and soundtracks from The Crow, Heat, Saw, and Underworld to name just a few.
For this reason, Pro Tone Pedals wanted to illustrate the breadth of creativity one can achieve with the Page Hamilton Distortion. From walls of feedback to thick layers of complex distortion, the Page Hamilton Distortion offers the modern metal composer flexibility not common in the stompbox realm.
Now that my PH Pro Tone distortion pedal has been thoroughly road tested, stomped on and beat up during Helmet’s 30x30x30 tour we’re doing another batch! It IS my touring and recording distortion pedal!! – Page Hamilton
We’ve crammed a metric ton of gain into this box… but Page’s workload demands his gear be flexible. So we aimed at covering a wide spectrum of rock to modern metal tones. In order to deliver that flexibility we knew it had to clean up well. Bottom line- the Page Hamilton Signature Distortion is no 1 trick pony.
Sweeping through the gain control you’ll come across all shades of vintage and modern distortions, some thick ballsy blues crunch and some good ole fashioned rock and roll overdrive.
In addition to the hyper flexible amp-like 3 band EQ the Page Hamilton Distortion features a High Cut toggle switch which gives you the option to select a more modern tone that cuts through the mix or 2 thicker low-end heavy vintage tones.
